Before you sign up
How quickly will my listing go live?
Immediately after you verify your email. There's no manual approval step — once you confirm your address, your listing is published and searchable. Setup to live in under 5 minutes.
Is it really free to list?
Yes. No monthly fee, no setup cost. We only earn when you get a booking — a percentage of the trip price, nothing else.
What if I already use FishingBooker or Airbnb?
No exclusivity required. List on Charted Waters alongside any other platform you use.
What if I'm already booked on Airbnb or VRBO for certain dates?
Connect your existing calendar with our iCal sync. Paste your Airbnb, VRBO, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar feed URL and Charted Waters checks it every hour — any dates already blocked there get automatically blocked on your Charted Waters listings too. You manage your availability once; the platform keeps everything in sync.
What happens if a guest no-shows or cancels?
You set your own cancellation policy when you create your listing. Guests see it before they book.
Do I have to use Stripe?
Stripe is the default for fast direct payouts, but PayPal, Wise, and bank wire are also supported.
Can I list multiple vessels or trip types?
Yes. You can add multiple vessels and create separate listings for different trip types (fishing, snorkeling, sunset cruises, etc.).
What areas do you cover?
Currently the Bahamas, Caribbean, and United States. If you're outside those areas, reach out — we're expanding.
Can guests contact me directly, or does everything go through the platform?
Both. Your phone number, website, and email appear on your public profile — guests can call or email you before they even look at your booking calendar. You also get a full inquiry inbox in your dashboard where guests can send messages, ask questions, and attach photos. Your relationship with your customers is yours.
Will my listing get buried if I'm paying a lower commission?
No. Charted Waters does not rank listings by commission rate, paid placement, or any other fee-based criteria. Every operator appears on equal footing. Your visibility is determined by your profile quality, reviews, and the destinations you serve — not by how much you pay us.
